Retired astronaut Buzz Aldrin marries ‘longtime love’ on his 93rd birthday

Former astronaut Buzz Aldrin introduced on Friday that he married his longtime love, Anca Faur, on his 93rd birthday.

Aldrin, one of many first individuals to land on the moon as a part of the Apollo 11 mission over 50 years in the past, posted the information on his Twitter.

“On my 93rd birthday & the day I may even be honored by Residing Legends of Aviation I’m happy to announce that my longtime love Dr. Anca Faur & I’ve tied the knot,” Aldrin wrote. “We had been joined in holy matrimony in a small personal ceremony in Los Angeles & are as excited as eloping youngsters.”

Aldrin shared two footage of him and Faur, 63, together with the put up.

That is Aldrin’s fourth marriage. The previous astronaut beforehand married Lois Driggs Cannon, Beverly Van Zile and Joan Archer.

In 1969, Aldrin, together with astronaut Neil Armstrong, turned one of many first individuals to land on the moon.
