MADRID (Reuters) – Dozens of worldwide and home flights operated by Spanish flag-carrier Iberia had been disrupted on Saturday by an issue within the firm’s reserving and boarding system, the airline mentioned.
5 flights – to London, Lisbon, Vigo, Barcelona and Jerez de la Frontera in southern Spain – had been cancelled, a spokeswoman for Iberia, a part of Worldwide Consolidated Airways Group (LON:), mentioned.
“At 11.30 a.m. the delays have been as much as an hour in flights in Spain and Europe. It has affected dozens (of providers),” the spokeswoman added. “It’s centred on Madrid but additionally impacts different airports. We’ve got volunteers working to unravel the issue as quickly as potential.”
“As a consequence of an incidence in our programs, reserving and boarding providers have been stopped at a number of airports,” Iberia tweeted.
“The whole Iberia group is working to unravel it. We apologise to our prospects for the inconvenience that the state of affairs is inflicting.”
It didn’t give any additional element in regards to the nature of the issue or when it was prone to be resolved.
